ReVamp - Stage One

So as part of my Re-Vamp I am having my hair done on Thursday. I didn't really know what do with my hair as I have had the same style pretty much ever since I was about 13. I haven't really dyed it before or done anything drastic with it. I am normally quite laid back by it as my hair normally grows quite quickly and so wasn't ever fussed if the hair cut wasn't quite right.... but now I wan't to do something different  At the moment I am growing my hair and so its just below the shoulder...eventually I would like it to be on the bust line or there abouts...anyway.. I digress. I am really liking the whole dip dye thing (a little late in the game) and I asked a few friends and they think it will look good so these are the styles I am going for.... I have noticed that over the last few months as my hair gets longer I am starting to get a natural wave in my hair from about half way down to the bottom so think the dip-dye style will really suit me. I'm not going to have alot taken off the length but can't wait to have it all done restyled and a new color! The part that I am really pleased about is that it's only costing my £80 in total for cut and color as it's a friends friend who can come to my home and do it... so a glass of wine and haircut all at the same time... best day ever!!

I am also vowing to take better care of my hair as up until a few weeks ago I wasn't blow drying my hair in the morning and just using the Car Heaters in the morning to dry my hair which has of course resulted in me having very dry and split hair...although you do save about 10 minutes in the morning I really wouldn't recommend it as just constantly had frizzy hair! To try and combat it I have bought some Boots Coconut and Almond Leave In Conditioner. I have heard alot about Coconut Oil recently and there has been alot of hype about Khloe Kardashian using it. I bought it today so it's too soon to say how well it's working but I am excited to see if it improves my hair especially as the Boots own bottle was about £2 compared to the big brands at £10! However I will say.. I sprayed some in at lunch and my hair feels softer within a few hours of having it in.

  1. I got my hair ombred before Christmas, but unfortunately the colour difference wasn't enough of a difference, so I'm hoping to do it again soon. £80 doesn't sound that cheap to me, it usually costs me £60-£70 at a salon! You might want to check the ingredients list of your leave in conditioner, it might not actually contain coconut oil, or not a lot of it anyway. Maybe just buy an actual tub of coconut oil? I keep meaning to do this - I already have one for cooking with!

    1. Agh... do you know what I didn't look at what is actually in the conditioner! Point well made! lol! I did look in Boots just for pure coconut oil but couldn't find it, do you buy it from a Supermarket? Its £60 for the cut and dye and I normally pay £40 just for a cut...!

  2. Omg I love that hair do idea! Can't wait to see how it turns out! A new hair style along with your revamping of closet with definitely help motivate your weight loss even more! Waiting til the very end to change your wardrobe just isn't reasonable. You lost all this weight- you should be able to show it off with your new look!

I haven't heard of this leave in. I just use garnier fructis leave in conditioner because its also amazing at curling my hair for some reason. Keep me posted on how it works!
